Jim Welsh has led Natural Heritage Land Trust as its Executive Director since 2003. Before joining NHLT, Jim was Baraboo Hills Project Director at The Nature Conservancy. He holds degrees from University of Michigan in ecological restoration (M.A., 1985) and University of Wisconsin in natural resources policy (M.A., 1992).
