Introduction to Backyard Maple Syruping

Join Natural Heritage Land Trust for an afternoon learning the basics of how to make Maple Syrup in your own backyard.

Afternoon: 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm 

Where: The private Madison home of naturalist, Mary Binkley. Directions and address will be provided as event nears.

Who: FREE and open to the public. You must register so we know how many to expect

What: Two hour tour and eductional introduction to making backyard maple syrup.

What to Bring: Please bring appropriate clothing, water and boots if you wish. 

Ever wonder what it would take to make maple syrup from your own trees? Join us for this introduction to backyard maple syrup making. Come learn how to identify maple trees in your backyard and how to properly tap them for sap collecting, tools needed, when to do it and all other things maple syrup. Don't miss this opportunity to visit a private property with a Natural Heritage Land Trust conservation easement on it and meet other supporters who share your commitment to conservation where you live. Please dress for the weather.
